What a trip home!!
What a trip home!…..
Everywhere we went, everyone we talked to, every place we shared, the response and anointing was off the charts. We are headed back to Kenya ready for an incredible year and ready to take the ministry in Africa to a new level. Thanks to so many of you that have given, pledged, encouraged and are helping us impact the nations of East Africa.
Guest House Project….
God challenged us with a couple of major projects for 2013 as He spoke to us that we were to go to the next level. We shared our need for a “guest house” on the CMM property and the potential source of income that could generate to help make the ministry there self sufficient.
We challenged you with the initial costs, $65,000.00 and I can report that as of today we have received in giving and/or pledges, $65,000.00!!! What a miracle! In fact, construction starts this week and the contractor has given us April 20th as a completion date.
Watch for updates as the walls start up. In case you may not have contributed toward this project as yet, there will be some costs at the completion that we will need to do some finish work….so there is still a place and need if you missed out.
Welcome Travis Matheny……
As of March 1, Travis Matheny will become the Executive Director of Mission Barnabas (part time). This has been developing over the past year or so and is another giant step of faith. Travis has such a heart for ministry in Kenya and is so loved and received by the pastors.
He has developed strong relationships with many of our staff. The anointing he has for teaching and communicating to the pastors is very powerful. The mantle is on him for the vision our family has for Africa.
Travis will be bringing all of his skills and talents from his business as well, which we have been blessed with over and over. Travis has a number of projects that will take MB to the next level in communication and technical advancements. We will share more with you as he settles in.
Container in Kenya by Feb. 11…..
We shipped a 40ft container to Kenya on Dec. 15th. Here we go again….15,000 Bibles, books, etc.; computers; musical instruments; sound systems; hundreds of pairs of new shoes; equipment; bedding for the new guest house and all the plumbing fixtures needed for the new guest house.
Just another day at the warehouse!! Just another great day coming for thousands of pastors!!
I am headed back to Kenya today but I could almost fly there without the jet as I am sky high about what God is going to do in 2013. I believe that once the Kenya presidential elections are over and Kenya has a new president, the nation will witness a “new day” and begin to see revival and transformation.
We believe a fresh anointing for the church in East Africa is directly ahead and many of the pastors and leaders will be at the forefront of a mighty move of God. We are about to see our vision shift gears and take the church to the next level!
